A customized light dimmer knob based on the popular Basic Trilobite design. Our family shares a deep affection for Girl Genius, making this remix a welcome addition to our household. The creator of the remix posted it on Youmagine, but I'm sharing it here out of respect for the original designer. The adjustable shaft diameter in the STL allows for a tight press fit with most dimmer shafts, although you may need to experiment with the settings. The accompanying SCAD file provides further customization options. My light dimmer knob is printed with gold PLA and treated with Spanish Coffee Rub-N-Buff to achieve a refined finish. Prior to printing, I needed to preprocess the original Trilobite STL through Netfabb due to its complex structure and large file size. After processing, the revised STL is significantly smaller and loads more efficiently. Unfortunately, I must limit public distribution of this remix as per the CC-non-commercial license that restricts commercial use of the Trilobite design's source material.
