Trigobot Bowden Extruder with J-Head
thingiverse
The original design is based on the Rostock Delta printer platform, with the aim of reducing the weight on the 8mm rods to minimize bending. The current solution works well, but the geared 2engineers motor makes the platform heavier. To address this, a new, lighter solution has been proposed, along with improved cooling capabilities for the hot end and plastic. Instructions include opening the J-head, replacing the PTFE tube with a longer one squeezed between the top and nozzle, and attaching it to the holders on the platform. Additionally, three 40mm fans should be added, with cables from the J-head fitting between the fan and top. A Festo (or similar) pneumatic fitting, either 4x1/4" or 4x5mm, must also be added, along with PTFE tubing connecting it to the new cold end extruder for optimal performance.
