A Sketchup-designed Zelda object by grade 11 student Scott L. showcases a no-support design challenge. Although bridging was satisfactory, the largest gap exceeded 1cm. The first print utilized ABS Plastic on a Replicator G with 2 shells at 220 degrees without support and 40% infill. Another print with 1 shell at 225 degrees yielded similar results as its counterpart with more shells and lower temperature. However, some filaments fell away during the bridging process; trimming resolved this issue. A glow-in-the-dark ABS variant with 15% infill and 1 shell at 225 degrees successfully mitigated bridging problems as demonstrated in additional images.
