Tricopter tail tilt mechanism
thingiverse
I use this on my tricopter based on David Windenstål's design. This tail assembly takes inspiration from the flitetest thoughtilt system. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Infill: 30% Notes: This is printed with 0.2mm layer height, in PLA. Use a 3-5 mm brim for printing the tri_copter-tail part or it will come loose. Post-Printing Mounting Some sanding might be required to get smooth motion. If needed drill out the center hole to 3mm. Use three 3mm carbon fiber tubes (I was all out) or a suitably long 3mm screw through the center holes. Fasten this with a bit of epoxy or super glue at the back end. Use suitable screws (I find the ones that come packaged with most servos fit just fine) to attach the large servo arms to the tilt mechanism. Add some double-sided tape and some thin wood if needed between the printed part and the servo to bring the servo up so it's aligned with the center axis of the tilt mechanism.
