Tricopter FPV drone - Ufezela
thingiverse
Ufezela, also known as Scorpion in Zulu, is a robust 3D printed tricopter frame designed for use with 5-inch propellers at the front and 6-inch propellers at the back. This versatile frame accommodates a "standard" FPV camera and a 36x36mm flight controller and PDB, which can be powered by a 3S/4S LiPo. To ensure durability, it is recommended to print arms using ABS or PET-G with thick walls of 1.6 or 2.0mm and at least 40% infill. This may result in a slightly heavier frame, but it will provide additional strength and reduce the likelihood of breakage. A YouTube video showcasing Ufezela's capabilities can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbJ9wtbZQRU To assemble the frame, you will need the following parts: * 8x M3x45mm bolts * or 4x M3x45mm bolts * 4x 25mm M3 aluminum standoffs * 8x M3x6 bolts * 1x M3x12 bolt * 12x M3 nuts * 2x 623 (10x3x4mm) bearings * A length of 3mm brass or steel rod (a pipe is even better) * An abundance of M3 washers - it's recommended to use a washer for each nut and bolt Depending on the thickness of your flight controller stack, you may need an additional 4 M3 nuts and bolts. To achieve optimal frame stiffness, consider printing standoffs and attaching everything with 4 additional M3x45 nuts through the top plate. For the RC components, consider using the following: * Racestar BR2205 2300KV motors * Racestar RS30A Lite ESC * Turnigy TSS-10HM servo or a similar model * Omnibus F4 flight controller * PDB * RunCam Swift camera * VTX03 video transmitter * R-XSR receiver
