Tricky puzzle

This puzzle initially appears to be straightforward. But scratch the surface, and you'll soon realize it's much more complex. Print out the 10 bars and begin mixing them around. Then, attempt to layer five horizontally and five vertically so that all the holes align in both directions as shown in the Spoiler. I'm on the hunt for an efficient strategy or formula for cracking this solution. If you've discovered a simple approach, kindly share your expertise with me.
