trick glass
thingiverse
This glass features a siphon system that empties its contents if overfilled or attempted to drink from. Although the flow rate is slow, adding an extra foot could increase speed similar to the 'Tantalus Cup.' The image displays an X-ray view of its internal structure, captured via Cura screenshot. The SolidWorks file offers full parametric customization, including tube count in walls, tube thickness, wall thickness, height, and radii. However, it may be slightly oversized; experiment with these adjustable features (if using SolidWorks). An updated V2 SolidWorks file has been provided, featuring a smaller design with thinner walls (0.7mm) and air gap. The old file will be removed due to an unintended dimension issue. Instructions suggest single perimeters for high fill rates. When printing with 1mm wall thickness and a .4mm nozzle, some areas may lack infill between perimeters. File names can be confusing, as the current print uses V2 STL, not listed. The V2 SolidWorks file includes scaled-down inserts to prevent mesh interference while offering smaller parameters for thickness and air gap adjustments. This change is mostly visual but may affect triangle surface quality equally. Please modify these settings according to preference when downloading the file. An updated STL (V4) has also been provided based on the V2 SolidWorks file.
