Want to take a risk? This is a tricky little challenge you can present to someone: Create a bolt that threads in the middle, allowing the nut to be screwed on seamlessly. You can then re-thread it, and voila! The seam will disappear, as if it had been printed right onto the bolt. My friend used to craft these on his lathe; I thought it would be fantastic to 3D print one myself. With an overall height of 58mm, the external thread measures 2mm with a 0.2mm clearance, and the internal thread is 1.5mm wide with a similar 0.2mm clearance. I've yet to attempt printing this design; feel free to share your thoughts!
