Triceratops prorsus Skeleton
thingiverse
This is a 1:20 scale replica of a Triceratops prorsus skeleton. Ravelios from Thingiverse generously provided the source model. The original creator's identity remains unknown, but it appears to be either Animium or CadNav that offered this model for free. To match the Makerbot T. Rex and Stegosaurus models, I scaled the replica down to about 1:20. During the late Cretaceous period, Triceratops prorsus lived alongside the T. Rex. This model's length when assembled is approximately 45cm. The instructions for assembly are included in the files. More information on the Triceratops can be found on Wikipedia. I used Meshmixer to pose the skeleton into a walk and curved the tail for a more natural appearance. The model was broken down into printable pieces, with connecting pins and sockets that make it mostly snap-together. Some glue may be required, however. The base was created from scratch. Print Settings: Printer: Ultimaker Original Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm or better Infill: It doesn't matter Notes: The model in the pictures was printed at full scale of the STL files, at a resolution of 0.15mm. Supports and brims were used as needed.
