Tribonacci Bowl, Container, and Composite
thingiverse
The coordinates of the snub cube's vertices are rooted in the tribonacci constant, as are those of its dual, the pentagonal icositetrahedron. Below, a composite model shows both polyhedra, along with a bowl and container crafted from their vertex data. Comments within the OpenSCAD script explain how these coordinates relate to the tribonacci constant. This is reminiscent of the connection between the dodecahedron, its dual the icosihedron, and the golden ratio. Prints of the STL files depicted above were created on a Replicator at a scale of 75%, using layers measuring 0.3 mm thick.
