This is an example of a triangular prism that can be created for the "Wrap It Up" 6th Grade geometry lesson extension.
The triangular prism consists of five pieces. The two triangles have edge lengths of 1 inch. The three rectangles have length and width of 1 inch and 1.5447 inches. Total surface area of the whole triangular prism is 5.5 square inches. This is the same surface area as the Box Surface Area.
The triangular prism can be held together by tape, rubber bands, or glue. The maker recommends tape.
