Triangular polyhedral nets
thingiverse
Tinkercad creates 2D nets that transform into 3D polyhedra, specifically tetrahedron, octahedron and icosahedron with triangular faces. These were printed using a Makerbot Replicator 2 on "Standard" (0.2mm layer height) settings. The nets have 0.2mm base thickness plus another 0.2mm for the face layers that are slightly inset to form natural fold lines. MakerHome Day 44 provides further details at http://makerhome.blogspot.com/2013/10/day-44-tetrahedron-and-icosahedron-nets.html.
