These 3D polyhedra are built using custom 2D nets created in Tinkercad, carefully folded to achieve a precise fit of triangular faces found in the tetrahedron, octahedron, and icosahedron. Printed with a Makerbot Replicator 2 on "Standard" settings at a .2mm layer height, the nets have been specifically designed to require an additional .2mm (one extra layer) base thickness plus another .2mm for the faces themselves, which are slightly inset from the base layer to facilitate natural fold lines development.
