Triangular Pixel Bird LED Frame

This is a cutting-edge LED frame made up of innovative triangular shape cells, specifically designed for use with LEDs or LED strips to create vivid images of various birds. LED strips are carefully laid into the slots in the back, where they illuminate each triangular cell with precision color control. A sheet of high-quality white paper or other diffusion material is placed over the front to ensure even lighting for each pixel. To hold the paper securely against the cells, a piece of clear acrylic is required; however, if your diffusion material is sufficiently stiff, you might not need the acrylic. Thick Mylar could also be a viable alternative. These LED strips are expertly controlled via a powerful Raspberry Pi. Future updates will include a separate back for use with flat-top LEDs, providing an additional option for those who prefer not to use strips and a Raspberry Pi. This would come at the cost of being locked into a specific bird color scheme. In addition to the current design, I am also working on a Python script to further enhance the project's functionality. As this is still a work in progress, please keep in mind that the finished prototype is rough around the edges, as evident from the included image. As you can see, some light bleeding occurs underneath the cells into adjacent ones that should not be illuminated. Without the clear acrylic on top, some cells are not well-defined. Despite these imperfections, I am proud to share with you a prototype of an Eastern Bluebird illuminated in the frame. I will upload additional images showcasing different color configurations and bird sizes/positions for your viewing pleasure. Note: The camera used is not high-end, but I hope it still conveys the project's potential and promise.
