My building features an accessibility elevator and doors are secured using triangle keys. The problem is that they fail quite often and the builder only provided one emergency key. Additionally, locating them can be a challenge due to their bulky design. To address these issues, I decided to create a lighter version of the key. It has a hole for attaching it to a keyring or passing a 4mm screw to help apply force. Please note that due to small tolerances and the nature of 3D printing, this new key may not be as durable as its metallic counterpart. The spring used in other elevators may either be reusable or single-use, depending on the situation, making it suitable for emergency use only. I'm considering adding a cyanocrylate coating to enhance its resistance. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share them here.
