This repair fixed the brush holder on my X04 motor. It should also work for X03 motors and Scalextric RX models from the 1970s. I took out the old broken brush holder, which was held in place by a pop rivet, and designed and installed this new one. I printed it in PLA, and after running it for over 10 minutes at full speed, I didn't notice any heat-related issues. To get the best results, I recommend printing multiple copies at once to help with cooling. Since this is a small part, using 0.1mm resolution and 100% infill will produce the best results.
