I added this for people with limited space or budget, who can't afford big servos but want something affordable. For those without a budget for bearings, you can easily use 3D printed alternatives. Cheap 9g servos may not deliver high torque, but they're still incredibly useful. To see the difference in performance, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3eH0o3drKk. Here's a great hack for continuous rotation on these servo motors: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-a-TowerPro-Micro-Servo-Spin-360/. An easy fix to prevent over-travel and get rid of that nasty calibration step is to block the potentiometer with hot glue in the middle position.
