Tri Shuriken Spinner

Tri Shuriken Spinner

I wanted a ninja-star spinner with the counter-weight of 3 bearings that could still spin efficiently. The normal spinner is quite large, requiring big hands to operate effectively (11 cm diameter). A smaller spinner would be more compact and suitable for anyone, including children. Standard 608 bearings with a 22mm Diameter and 7mm height will pressure-fit, and caps can be printed from other projects (The caps from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1798896 are excellent!). To get rounded edges, I ran a Minkowski addition to a flat area the shape of the spinner. This process takes a long time in OpenSCAD at high settings, so be warned (or comment out the Minkowski utility if you're absolutely ready, if you want to re-generate the STL). Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.6-0.1mm Infill: 20% Notes: It's pretty flat and forgiving.
