Case for the Trend DAR/200 Digital Angle Rule. It utilizes five 4x2mm magnets to maintain a secure shut, relying on their combined magnetic force. The hinges are made from 1.75mm filament, providing a sturdy and reliable mechanism. Ample space is also allocated for a spare battery. Additionally, I incorporated a color change at layer 3 and 10 with a 0.2mm layer height to emphasize specific text. This design element adds an extra layer of visual interest and helps draw attention to key information. The inspiration behind this project came from the TS100 Soldering Iron Box & Tip Holder by AustinSaintAubin, which I found to be an exceptional design. However, my case for the Trend DAR/200 Digital Angle Rule serves a distinct purpose and offers a unique solution for a different tool.
