Trench 2 (Topsoil)

Trench 2 measured 2.00 meters in length and width, situated just a few meters south of Trench 1. It was excavated directly across two massive stone blocks that precisely matched the dimensions employed in Illyrian stone masonry, leading us to speculate whether they might constitute the remnants of a buried wall's top layer. This marks the initial archaeological layer, the topsoil, which is the uppermost stratum prior to any soil excavation. To view additional layers, simply click here. A basic representation of the models utilized by our project for archaeological research purposes is displayed below. For higher-resolution versions, kindly submit a request.
