Trench 1 (Topsoil)

Trench 1 measures 1.00 m x 1.50 m and was dug to test if the wall identified as Illyrian by Hammond continues across the plateau, or Kala. The goal is also to uncover datable material that confirms Hammond's hypothesis. This is the initial layer of archaeology, known as topsoil, which is cleared before any excavation begins.
