Trefoil Knot + Three Pages
thingiverse
This reimagined Trefoil Knot, featured on my site, was created for an undergraduate research project. It's a variation of the traditional knot, visualized as a book's spine with three equidistant pages within. Mathematica's high-resolution RegionPlot3D (200 PlotPoints) generated the .stl file, which can be scaled for 3D printing at any size. To print successfully, use a raft and supports; the image demonstrates a model scaled by 20 times its original size in MakerWare.
