Trees

We're creating a show card for our Firecat Gallery exhibition featuring "Dialogues on the New Plastic," inspired by Piet Mondrian's quote. The original dialogue depicts Mondrian discussing his shift from representational art to abstract compositions. We initially considered replicating one of Mondrian's signature grids, but opted instead for an image derived from an early tree painting. To capture this, we walked our neighborhood with a Sense device and scanned as many trees as possible, knowing that the device would create arbitrary breaks similar to Mondrian's paintings. Our goal was to create a cubist tree composition by joining the scans together, showcasing a subject from multiple angles in a single form. The raw scans are currently available; if successful, we will share the final tree image later on.
