This is NOT, I REPEAT NOT A RATED CLIMBING DEVICE, any use is deemed an act of accepting risks or injuries associated with this design and use. First the disclaimer: DO NOT USE WHILE STUPID, if you are stupid well there's no hope for you sorry, DO NOT USE THIS DESIGN, I hope you have someone that will watch out for you! SERIOUSLY ALWAYS HAVE PROPER SAFETY GEAR (IE. HARNESS and CLIMBING RATED SAFETY EQUIPMENT), Use at your own risk, this is not a life saving piece of equipment, it is a step that you are going to be using at height strapped to a tree holding a weapon, let the sink in before use. Always check your equipment thoroughly before use, delamination, cracks, discoloration, ect... can all be signs part may fail, that being said it may fail randomly due to bad material or print issues. Using this design you assume all responsibility for yourself and any injuries that may be sustained during use (IF YOU DO NOT PLEASE MOVE ON, DO NOT TRY MY DESIGNS) 2 new designs I've been playing with, these seem to fit the bill for me. I did some redesign of my previous step that works pretty good after I was shown that they work better than i thought (thx wayne) That all being said I run 230# and have literally jumped up and down on these full force, they don't budge, once set they don't move side to side or anything. These 2 designs need to be printed in a stronger material, I printed solid (this goes against my normal views on printing but works well on these parts). So far I've tried: ABS - need heated chamber go slow and bump up heat a little, don't worry about material sag these don't have to be super pretty, need to find your machine's best settings for bonding layers. Keep in mind ABS is susceptible to UV and chemical breakdown. PETG - go slow and bump up heat a little, don't worry about material sag these don't have to be super pretty, need to find your machine's best settings for bonding layers. Polycarbonate just make sure you have good layer adhesion and they will be solid. Please be nice, the strap was the closest one to me when I went out to play. I use a much heavier one when hunting or off the ground more than a foot. If you can't get a good solid print or are having issues with them, figure it out or walk away. Being 20-30 feet up you don't want a failure. TEST a TON AT GROUND LEVEL FIRST.
