Tree and Snowflake 2013 Ornament

This Christmas ornament features a tree with a spinning snowflake atop it. The snowflake is gimbaled for vertical rotation, enabling it to spin freely. The design can be printed as two pieces that snap together, or alternatively in one piece using either single color printing or dual extrusion. To accommodate mailing, the ornament's size and thickness make it suitable for enclosing with Christmas cards. The model comes with three STL files: one containing both tree and snowflake as a single unit, and two separate files for each part. All parts have been designed to print without requiring support structures. If you prefer, the STL file for the combined ornament can be used for printing in a single color. On the other hand, the individual part STLs may be utilized for dualstrusion printing, though this has not been tested by the designer. The image provided shows the tree printed in dark green and the snowflake in transparent hues; these were printed separately and then joined together via snap fitting.
