Trebuchet Model

Trebuchet Model

thingiverse

This trebuchet model is assembled using traditional mortise and tenon joints, giving it a classic appearance. A printable version of the design is provided for ease. The custom MATLAB software used to create the trebuchet was tailored to optimize the size for the printer bed. Temporary files were initially printed before regenerating .scad files for uploading; STL files were created using OpenSCAD. A simple paperclip trigger is demonstrated in an image, while a video showcasing the trebuchet's performance is available at http://youtu.be/8E0PPx7GJZo. This creation is also an entry into the 3D printed catapult contest found at http://news.typeamachines.com/desktop-warfare-3d-printing-contest/. Please refer to the README file for comprehensive instructions on printing and assembly.
