Treasure Hunt Clue #1
sketchfab
Nice job cracking the first code! Your final task is to identify this mountain. It will give you two crucial pieces of information. Distance: Take the name of the peak, remove "Mount" or "Mountain", and assign sequential numerical values to each letter based on its alphabetical order. F=29, for instance. Add all those numbers together, and that will give you the number of smoots from midfield A at The Rock to the treasure. Direction: Take the elevation of the mountain and divide it by 57.323. That will give you the compass bearing from the observatory atop Rankin Science building to the treasure. When you arrive at the right spot, use the sketch to find the hidey hole where the treasure is hidden. By the way, look at those beautiful relic lava flows to the north!
