This is a brace to repair a rib of a Treasure Garden umbrella that's broken at the joint with another rib. The are 5 holes: 4 holes to secure the two broken pieces together, and one through -hole to attach the repaired rib with the other support rib using a machine screw. The holes are a little bit over 5mm diameter, so you can use either 5mm or 3/16" screws/rivets. This is the rivet toolkit I've used (affiliate link): https://amzn.to/3DcAkcHStart by inserting the screw in the middle hole, then push the two broken pieces in each side of the brace until they butt against the screw. Then drill the 4 holes – two in each broken piece. Insert the rivets to secure the broken pieces onto the brace. Then attach the repaired rib with the other support rib using the machine screw and a hex nut.For best strength, print the STEP file as originally oriented.Since it is meant to be used outside and needs to be quite rigid, do not use PLA. PETG might work, but I strongly recommend ABS, ASA, or PC.If you like what I'm doing……consider buying me a ☕ on Ko-Fi.
