Treadmill Timing Wheel

Treadmill Timing Wheel

myminifactory

This is a replacement part for my uncle's treadmill, designed to fit snugly alongside its counterpart. Two parts in total are required, each carefully crafted to complement the other seamlessly. His old timing wheel, made of flimsy abs plastic, had cracked in multiple places, rendering it useless. Unable to find a suitable replacement part, I took it upon myself to design one from scratch. The purpose of this new wheel is to transmit speed data back to the treadmill's control system. A light or laser beam shines through precisely drilled holes at a sensor, triggering calculations that determine the speed based on the number of times the light or laser interacts with the sensor. To ensure secure mounting, it should be attached to the treadmill bar using a strong adhesive, such as epoxy or glue, since its slightly larger size makes friction-based mounting unreliable.
