Treadmill Tablet Clip
thingiverse
I prefer to catch TV shows on the Lifefitness treadmills at my office while running on the spot. However, I noticed that having my Surface tablet and iPad sitting too low made it tough to comfortably watch them during those treadmill sessions. I created something that can securely hold my iPad or Surface above the top of the machine, allowing me to see both the TV shows and data displays simultaneously without any distractions while exercising. I used blue PLA filament in my old printer, but even so, the result looks a bit mediocre. Post-Printing: Improved hold and extra firm grip To further improve tablet retention on my exercise device, I stuck some extra duct tape on there to provide additional stability while in use. Design Process Designing this was quite straightforward Initially, I took the necessary measurements for both the treadmill machine and my tablet. With these dimensions in mind, I quickly came up with a suitable design in Sketchup and began printing. The first attempt was indeed successful – a major plus given that my printer seemed to be experiencing some jams issues during production.
