Trays and shelves for the Skadis board

prusaprinters

I have made a number of models of trays and shelves to be mounted on the IKEA Skådis board. The collection of models are available in widths ranging from 40 mm to 120 mm and in depths of 40 mm or 50 mm.Installation The trays and shelves is mounted on the Skadis board using a T-nut that is made to fit M3 screws. T-nuts ensure a strong and secure hold and are easy to install and remove by using a screwdriver. The trays and shelves are available in two different versions, one with countersunk holes and the other with flat holes, depending on the type of screws you use. The screws that you will need to use should be about 15 mm in length.Place the screw in the T-nut through the holes in the tray or shelf and screw it in until the T-nut is about 2-3 mm from the back of the tray or shelf, insert the T-nuts vertically through the Skadis holes, then as you tighten the screw the T-nut will turn and lock the tray or shelf to the board. You can find and download the matching T-nut here:  Skadis T-nut for M3 screw.  Printing and print settingsIn the model files, the parts are orientated in the direction best suited for printing. Use PLA for printing with a layer height of 0.2mm and a nozzle width of 0.4mm. A wall, bottom and top thickness of at least 3 lines and an infill of 25% (4 lines if you want to minimise the infill) . A support structure for the screw hole are required for the printing. More of my modelsYou might be interested in some of my other models. Skadis hook set     Click here if you are interested in seeing more of my models for IKEA Skådis board. Feedback is always a good thing.  To encourage me or other designers to make more models, hit like and/or post your makes.
