This allows users to actuate the ESC button with the stock body shell still clipped on. Convenient when you want to power on / off the truck without removing the body shell. If you could see the LED on the ESC, you could change modes too, but the body is pretty opaque. You could drill a hole large enough to see the light, though. The bracket fits under the mounting arm for the rock slider on the left side and has a small hook that holds the other end of the bracket under the ESC platform. This allows a clean install without needing chemical bonds (double-sided tape), as a mechanical bond is much stronger and less likely to fail. The only additional hardware required is a 3mm cap screw, the same one that holds the rock sliders to the chassis. Most hobbyists will have several of these lying around.
