Traxxas TRX-1 and Eagle Battery Box

Battery box / cup for a variety of Traxxas vintage vehicles (Eagle, Blue Eagle, and TRX-1). To use this battery box, you will need either QTY=2 4-40 or M2.5 X 10 flathead screws (for appropriate fit in the chassis countersunk holes, the M2.5 is preferred). The original self-tapping screws may work (but has not been confirmed). This battery has been modified to allow for the use of modern electronics/lipo batteries. The overall width and depth has been increased to allow for a battery to properly fit. There should be approximately 0.2 mm of clearance for overall battery height. The width will be snug. As stated above, the mounting has been modified for improved battery clearance, which unfortunately forces the use of smaller screws. The spacing for the hold down strap has been increased to match the Traxxas Rustler/Bandit/Stampeded design, since that is readily available and better allowed for use of the M2.5 fasteners (allowing the box to be able to be flipped for the more traditional setup). The slot for the antenna is facing rearward (versus the original that faced forward). Tap the mounting holes with a M2.5 tap or gently thread them before mounting it into the car. Tap the battery mounting posts with a M3 tap.
