Printed this part in Flex PLA. It turned out slightly softer than the original but proved unbreakable with good dampening. The only support needed was at the horizontal screw-holes, which I resolved via the "support enforcer" option in my slic3r software. After several hard bashing sessions, I'm extremely satisfied with the results. I highly recommend trying out ABS for even greater stiffness.
