Traxxas Rustler TPU Body Pin Retainer Strap and Battery Pin Tab
thingiverse
I've got a couple of tricks up my sleeve to help prevent losing body pins and make removing battery strap pins a breeze. I printed out TPU for them, and let me tell you, they're a game-changer - especially when it comes to those pesky battery pin tabs. Inserting and removing the battery strap pins is now child's play. To secure the front strap, I carefully melted a hole along the center line of the body using my trusty soldering iron. This way, it wouldn't crack like it would if I tried to cut the hole with a knife. I used a 3mm screw, washer, and nut to keep everything in place. The rear strap was a piece of cake - all I needed to do was use the center screw from the spoiler. Easy peasy! However, the tabs did give me some trouble. The hole is probably a bit too small, so I had to use needle-nosed pliers to coax the pin through. But once it was in place, inserting and removing the pins became a breeze - no more struggling or pushing!
