Traxxas Rod End Backlash Tester
thingiverse
The Kossel deltabot by Johann features Traxxas rod ends for its rods, which may have loose tolerances. This printable model aids in measuring ball joint backlash with a dial test indicator. To use it, simply print, insert the dial test indicator and rod end, then assess backlash against the ball. A ball-end allen wrench works well. The design requires 0.4mm layers, 0.5mm nozzle, and 0.25 infill with Slic3r 0.9.8; post-processing in NetFabb is recommended. Holes are present for 6-32 screws to secure the rod end and dial test indicator, but a press fit should suffice.
