I've never been a fan of printed bumpers with angels due to their lack of support and flatness. It's just not my cup of tea. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and created a bumper using a mold. First, I printed the bumper flat out of PLA/PETG, then carefully bolted it onto the mold. Next, I placed it in a hot oven at 158F (70C) for PETG, or 230F (110C) if you're using that material. Within 2-3 minutes, the material becomes soft and pliable, allowing me to shape it perfectly over the mold. I designed the mold from PLA, which works just fine in this application. The key is not to leave it in too long, as the mass of the material will eventually soften later than the bumper itself. Alternatively, you can use PETG instead. As for ABS, I'm not sure if it's wise to use it in an oven where food is being prepared, due to potential vapors. This design should fit all Traxxas 2WD 1/10 models seamlessly.
