Traxxas 4-tec 2.0 Thick(er) Battery strap (36mm tall batteries)
thingiverse
I ordered a high-capacity Zeee battery online (a hardcase 3s lipo with 5200mah) and discovered that it was slightly thicker than the original model, so I modified the design by increasing its height by more than 2mm while maintaining the same shape and fit. The result is not a perfect replica but it's definitely functional and works great for holding my battery in place. I'd like to extend my gratitude to user sashan13 (https://www.thingiverse.com/sashan13/designs) for posting their design just before I realized I needed to create a new strap myself, which saved me a significant amount of time by eliminating the need to measure one up from scratch. The design works well in PLA, but I recommend printing it with thick walls and nearly solid infill. I used 1.6mm walls with 80-90% infill and found it to be more than strong enough to last me a while. I did have to touch up the screw hole with a drill afterwards as it was slightly undersized, and I didn't want to risk cracking the filament by forcing the screw through it. When printing this design, I found that it prints best on its side. Be sure to use supports everywhere to ensure that the screwed-in side of the arm is straight and functional.
