She walked down the street, a sense of unease settling over her as she gazed out at the sea of faces rushing past. Her eyes scanned the crowded sidewalks, searching for something - or someone - that didn't seem to be there. It was like trying to find a needle in a haystack, only the haystack was on fire and the needle was hiding behind a wall of mirrors. She quickened her pace, her heart racing with every step, but nothing seemed to change. The world around her remained just as busy and chaotic as it had been before, yet she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.
