Travel-Mühlespiel (Nine men's morris)
prusaprinters

This is a version of the well known “Mühlespiel” or “Nine men's morris”.

This game is easily transportable and can be played in a car, train or plane while traveling.

The lid has been designed in such way that it is easily taken off to use as a tray to hold the unused or not yet used pieces. The size of the box is the same as the “Portable Hypocycloid Drawing Kit” (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4904876) to make it "stackable".

You can find the game rules and variants in the Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine_men's_morris).

I designed the game pieces with different forms and printed them also with different colours to accommodate people that are color blind.

I printed the parts with 0.2 mm layer in PLA. The smaller parts (clamp and game pieces) with 0.1 mm layer.

The bottom is printed with a color change for the last few layers to make the game field better visible.

It is best to glue the clamp to the lid.

You can use pieces of filament for the hinge. Probably you have to ream the holes with a 1.8 mm drill.

To print the mill icon on the clamp perfectly you likely have to fine tune the slicer with "detect thin walls".

When you print this design, please post it.
