Travel Guage Holder for Monoprice Maker Select V2
thingiverse
I have a Travel Indicator and I wanted to create a holder that's solid enough to attach to my Maker Select without messing with the giant screw hole in the back. It made more sense to design something one unit with the plate and holder attached, so I combined the "Back Plate for Dial Indicator" by muddtt (Thing #167459) with the "Wanhao Dial Gauge Holder" by 1bigpig (Thing #1445744). I made this from PLA, which doesn't have much flexibility, so I had to modify the holder design to prevent it from cracking when snapping it on and off the bars. After several attempts, this is the result. I've been using it for about a month without any issues. I think the original back plate was sized to fit a digital travel gauge from harbor freight, which is a bit larger in the back than my Teclock gauge, but the screw holes matched up perfectly. I just took a couple minutes and filed down the plate instead of trying to resize it. This thing was made with Tinkercad.
