The original silencer on my neighborhood trash can stopped working, likely because of exposure to UV light, so I swapped it out for a Filaflex printed model designed specifically for an 8.25 mm diameter hole. Now rolling the trash through the streets is significantly quieter for my neighbors, who are appreciative of this improvement.
