It's a typical day at the office, and I'm feeling completely unremarkable. The fluorescent lights overhead seem to be humming along just fine, casting an eerie glow over everything in sight. I sit at my desk, surrounded by papers and files that need attention, but somehow they all blend together into one big mess. My coworkers are chatting away, making plans for the weekend, but their conversation is just background noise to me. I'm stuck in a rut, going through the motions without any real sense of purpose or direction. The clock on my wall seems to be ticking along at its usual pace, marking time as it always does.
