Date: 3/19/19\r\nTopic: Clean Up Our Rivers\r\nProject: Trash Tamer 2.0\r\nWe set out to create something that would genuinely help the environment, making it simpler to decrease pollution and trash dumped into rivers and lakes, devastating ecosystems and taking the lives of innocent animals. Trash Tamer 2.0 reduces water pollution by mimicking a powerful vacuum cleaner.\r\nThis machine sucks up bottles and pieces of debris floating on the surface of the water, trapping them in a large mesh bag attached to our easy-to-use holes located around our outer rim (a sleek brown frame). Unfortunately, we were unable to find a net small enough for our miniature model. In some images, you'll notice a flipped version of our design, which means you're looking at our invention from underneath the water (the section with the holes). If you observe Trash Tamer 2.0 from beneath, that's how it would appear at the surface, or as intended.\r\nWhen Trash Tamer 2.0 reaches its capacity for trash, simply release the mesh bag through the openings and separate recyclables! We hope this can help minimize materials used to create a basic rim for a net, ultimately contributing to our planet's well-being through our mistakes.
