Trash Can Hinges
thingiverse
When my trashcan's hinges snap, I'll have to wait a while before buying a replacement - we're supposed to stay in, unless it's absolutely necessary due to the COVID-19 situation. What do we do? We start making a 3D-printed replacement part. It's not a complicated or technically demanding project, but it works! I left the connecting parts of the hinges to the cover without holes so you can drill them where and how you like - make it easier for yourself. The clamps are designed with some extra space to allow for smooth movement. Loop Screws: #6 X 2in, w/ nut (M3 X50mm) Cover Screws: #12 X 1in w/ nut (M6 X 25mm) I printed the part with PLA, but I'll be using ABS for added durability from now on.
