Trash Can Clips - Save & Recycle your plastics!
thingiverse
One of my favorite things about FDM printing is reusing failed prints/supports/brims, enabling users to turn them into something new with the help of a filabot or similar device if they happen to have one lying around. I personally do not have a filabot in my workshop and won't be getting room for it anytime soon, but I know that makerspaces are starting to consider adding this kind of machine to their collections. Whatever method you choose to reuse your filament from scraps, it's probably a good idea to sort the collected materials by type and color until you've gathered enough to make it worthwhile. These clips can be used to label plastic bags at the top, which makes it easier for me to see what I'm looking for when searching through my bag storage drawer. The labels also provide a secure seal against dust. Instructions: Print this design without support when you turn it upside down, but remember to keep your cooling fans on while bridging over the letters. A 0.3 mm layer height should be enough unless you want your scraps to look really neat; in that case, feel free to use whatever layer height you like!
