Trapper Canoe Rodholder Challenge Version #2

The primary objective behind my revised Trapper Canoe Project is to emulate the exceptional quality and workmanship synonymous with Trapper Canoes. Additionally, I aimed to ensure that the canoe's rod holder was user-friendly and robust for consumers. To achieve this, I planned to construct a compact rod holder using materials such as aluminum extrusions, RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) parts consistent with Trapper Canoe's manufacturing process, wooden and stainless steel machined components, and purchased hardware. The holder would be securely fastened on the canoe side, and its latching lever could be easily pressed down to lock it in place. The rod holder's angle and tilt could also be customized by adjusting the clamping knob on the center connecting clamps, reducing manufacturing costs and simplifying mold designs. This innovative design would excel in all conditions, including rough waters and sand, while maintaining ease of use for removing fishing poles when catching fish. With its durability, this rod holder truly embodies the phrase "Simple to use - Built to last a lifetime!"
