A vintage plaything, widely popular in the past, was often crafted from wood or plastic. My own toy was made of the latter material. The challenge lay in replicating its string features. I employed a few techniques to achieve this, though they were far from perfect and solely intended for amusement. I modeled the toy using Solidworks 2015, followed by rendering with Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition. Subsequently, I edited the frames in Virtualdub, saving them as AVI/X264 and BMP formats. The video was then remuxed to MP4 format with MyMP4BoxGui. GIFs were created using GifApp, and the renders were edited with IrfanView. Both 3D-PDF and ZIM files contain animated versions of the model. These can be viewed on IOS and Android devices by downloading the free Simlab Viewer app. The model is also available in various formats, including Solidworks 2015, Simlab Composer 6, DAE, STEP, IGES, STL, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, and ZIM.
