TRAP!
cults3d
This week I decided to design and build a fully functioning bear trap based on images found online. I worked out the theoretical mechanism of how the trap should work, then spent hours designing CAD parts that fit together perfectly with precise tolerances so the springs and latches function smoothly. Result? The teeth snap shut quickly! The only downside to printing with ABS is that the two side arms broke after I played with it too many times. No problem though - I designed them to be easily replaced with new springy arms. Next time, I'll print them with a rubber-like ABS that should last longer! With this file you will be able to print TRAP! with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on TRAP!.
