I just disassembled the lamp head into two distinct pieces to create a semi-transparent lamp shade. The outer casing was 3D printed in PLA using supports and turned out quite impressive, requiring only a light sanding to remove loose bits of filament. The inner casing may benefit from additional support in its middle section; I printed it with PETG, resulting in a usable but potentially aesthetically improved piece.
